Josie has been a resident of South Florida for over 30 years and has been a member at Shalom Boca Synagogue (formerly known as Ayts Chayim) since she was five years old. Throughout her life, she has remained actively involved in the community, fostering a strong sense of connection and service. At the age of 19, Josie moved to Israel, where she joined the Israel Defense Forces. During her time in the IDF, she served as a Humvee driver in training operations based in Southern Israel. Her service included two years of active duty and an additional year in the reserves. After living in Israel for five years, Josie returned to South Florida, where she met her husband, Nick. Together, they are raising their three children, ages 10, 8, and 6.
